Terms of Service
Last updated: July 3, 2026 Β· Effective immedia
Welcome to bio-logicalgames.com ("the Platform", "we", "us", "our"). By accessing or using our platform, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree with any part of these terms, please do not use the Platform. These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of the Philippines.
This Agreement is provided in English and may be made available in other languages (e.g., Cebuano, Tagalog) for convenience. In the event of a conflict or ambiguity between the English version and a translated version, the English version controls.
1. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing, browsing, or using bio-logicalgames.com, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms of Service and our Privacy Policy.
If you are using the Platform on behalf of an educational institution, organization, or other entity, you represent that you have the authority to bind that entity to these terms.
2. Description of Service
bio-logicalgames.com is a free, web-based educational platform that provides:
- CellMatch β an interactive Spot Itβstyle card matching game with 31 biological symbols
- Cell Oracle β a biology quiz game
- Study Guide β educational reference materials about cell biology and organelles
- Printable Deck β downloadable PDF card decks for classroom use
- Premium Content β optional paid upgrades (watermark-free printable cards, lesson plans, stickers)
The core platform is free to use. No account creation or login is required.
3. Eligibility and Age Requirements
The core games (CellMatch, Cell Oracle, Single-Cell) may be played as a Guest by users of any age without submitting personal information.
Creating a Biologist Profile β required for saving progress, leaderboards, Challenges, messaging, and purchases β requires the user to confirm they are 13 or older, OR that a parent/teacher is creating or approving the Profile on their behalf. This is confirmed via a checkbox at Profile creation:
"β I am 13 or older, OR a parent/teacher is creating this Profile with me and has reviewed our Privacy Policy."
We rely on this affirmation and on teacher/parent-supervised classroom onboarding as our consent mechanism, consistent with FTC guidance for school-authorized educational tools under COPPA. If you are an educator creating or approving profiles on behalf of students under 13, you represent and warrant that you are an authorized representative of your school or district, and that your institution has obtained any necessary parental consent for student data collection for educational purposes, acting as the parent's agent under COPPA. If we learn a Profile was created by a child under 13 without appropriate parental or teacher authorization, we will delete the Profile and associated data promptly upon verification.
4. Accounts and Account Security
You may access the Platform as a Guest, or create a Biologist Profile by registering with your email, signing in with Google, or requesting a one-time email sign-in link. We do not use or store passwords β sign-in is handled by Google's secure service or by single-use, time-limited links we email to you. Registering with your email creates a Profile tied to that address, which you can later access using Google Sign-In or an email link (whichever uses the same email). Because sign-in relies on access to your email inbox, you are responsible for the security of your email account and for all activity under your Profile. Notify us immediately at admin@bio-logicalgames.com if you suspect unauthorized use of your account.
You may delete your account at any time via Profile Settings β Delete My Account, or by contacting admin@bio-logicalgames.com. We will complete deletion requests within 30 days.
Data Retention & Inactive Record Deletion: To ensure secure data minimization, we perform periodic database cleanups. Biologist Profiles, saved progress, and score metrics that show no login activity for over six (6) consecutive months may be systematically and permanently removed from our active servers. Registered users wishing to maintain their progress should log in at least once every six months to keep their account active.
5. User Conduct
When using the Platform, you agree not to:
- Submit false, misleading, offensive, or inappropriate content in reviews, leaderboard entries, or contact forms
- Attempt to hack, exploit, or disrupt the Platform or its infrastructure
- Use automated tools (bots, scrapers) to access the Platform without permission
- Impersonate another person or entity
- Submit fake reviews or manipulate the leaderboard
- Use the Platform for any unlawful purpose
- Redistribute, resell, or commercially exploit our premium content without authorization
Direct Messaging & Safety Moderation
- Mandatory Administrative Screening: To maintain a safe and supportive educational space for all students, educators, and researchers, all user-to-user direct messages are routed through a moderation queue and manually screened by administrators before delivery. Messages will only appear in the recipient's inbox once approved by our moderation team.
- Automated Scanning & Visual Warnings: Direct messaging is subject to automated keyword scans. Inappropriate, sensitive, or profane terms will be automatically flagged and highlighted in red with warning icons on both user and administrator viewports.
- Abuse Flagging & Reporting: Recipients are provided with a π© Report button to flag messages for abuse. Flagging immediately hides the conversation bubble from the recipient's view and routes the message back to the active administrative audit queue for investigation.
- Code of Conduct & Zero-Tolerance for Bullying: You agree not to use user-to-user messaging for harassment, cyberbullying, offensive remarks, or any unethical communication. We enforce a strict zero-tolerance policy. Any user caught engaging in cyberbullying or harassment will face immediate and permanent account suspension.
- User-to-User Messaging Conduct: All Direct Messages sent through the Platform are subject to administrative review as described in our Privacy Policy. Users must not use messaging to request personal contact information from a minor (address, phone number, social media handles) or to arrange contact outside the Platform without a parent or teacher's knowledge. Violation of this rule results in immediate suspension pending review. We encourage students to keep a parent or teacher aware of any Platform communications with adults they do not already know from their classroom.
6. User-Generated Content & Community Portal
The Platform offers a Community Contributions Portal allowing educators and undergraduate students to share, download, and review study resources. You may submit content to the Platform, including:
- Game reviews and star ratings
- Leaderboard entries (name and score)
- Community Resource Files (study notes, lesson plans, PPT presentations, mock-quizzes, and diagrams)
- Private Contributor profile fields (Public display name, custom avatar, bio, role, country, and expertise)
- Donation and tipping account handles (PayPal email and Ko-fi username)
Licensing & Ownership
- Creative Commons License: By uploading any educational resource files (PDF, PPTX, image assets, etc.) to the Platform, you grant other users a license to use your content under the Creative Commons Attribution-NonCommercial 4.0 International (CC BY-NC 4.0) license. You confirm that you hold the necessary intellectual property rights to publish and license these materials.
- Ownership Retention: You retain full copyright ownership of your uploads. You may delete your resources at any time through your dashboard, which permanently deletes the file bytes and metadata record from our database and Cloudflare KV storage.
- Non-exclusive Display License: You grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to host, catalog, search-index, and serve your uploaded resources to other learners.
Metadata & Upload Requirements
- Academic Integrity & Moderation: All submissions are queued for admin review. We reserve the right to approve, reject, feature, or remove uploads to ensure scientific accuracy, age-appropriateness, and catalog quality. Submitting plagiarism or copyrighted works belonging to other authors without permission is strictly prohibited.
Evolution Points & Challenges Code of Conduct
- Submission Slots: You may submit up to four (4) format-agnostic entries per challenge. Submission slots may be filled incrementally before the challenge close.
- Points Multiplier & Progression: Point rewards (uploads, voting, referrals) are calculated based on your active timescale level multiplier (Base Points * Stage Index, scaling from 25 pts up to 1500 pts per action). All points calculations are server-side authoritative and are re-evaluated from the points ledger prior to leveling up or unlocking rewards.
- Welcome & Upgrade Point Bonuses: New user registrations receive an immediate one-time credit of **500 Welcome points** in their points balance. Users upgrading to VIP status (via either monthly or annual subscription) receive a one-time credit of **1,000 Welcome points** in their balance.
- Key Boosters & Purchases: Boost keys may be purchased inside your profile for 500 Evolution Points. Key boosters stack on the same submission to extend duration. Key boost duration is stage-scaled: newbies (Stages 1 to 3) receive 24 hours of boost duration per key, whereas players at Stage 4 and above receive 12 hours of boost duration per key.
- Special Challenge Payouts: Challenging milestones and achievements award special points bundles. Upon closing, the mathematical top winner receives a +1,000 points bundle. Extra point payouts of +500 points are awarded for Most Liked (People's Choice), Most Viewed, and Host Choice accolades.
- Self-Voting Prohibition: Tapping "Vote" or casting points onto your own submissions is strictly prohibited. The system will throw server-side errors on any self-vote attempts, and duplicate vote farming may lead to permanent progression reset.
- Moderation Flagging: Submissions flagged by the community as off-theme, inappropriate, or plagiarized will enter a review queue. Confirmed flags result in immediate entry removal and the complete voiding of all votes/points earned.
- Prize Escrow Rules: Staking boost keys to host a community challenge is final. Escrowed keys are non-refundable and are automatically transferred to the mathematical winner (votes sum) at challenge close, except in cases where a challenge closes with zero submissions (in which case the keys return to the host).
- Challenge Hosting Limits: Annual VIP subscribers, Paleozoic rank users, and users whose peak points have crossed 3,000 can host challenges with no count limits. Other active VIP creators under 3,000 points are capped at a maximum of one (1) active hosted challenge at any given time.
Donations, Tip Links, & Notifications
- PayPal/Ko-fi Connections: You may optionally link your PayPal address and Ko-fi username to collect voluntary tips. The Platform serves merely as a link referrer; all transactions occur directly between the sender and recipient external to our site. We collect no fees and assume no responsibility for tipping operations or transfers.
- Download Receipts: To foster educator networks, you will receive real-time dashboard notifications detailing which authenticated user downloaded your shared files (showing their display name, country, and role).
- Free Premium Bypass (Resource Upload Reward): In accordance with our community reward structure, educators and students who upload educational resources (notes, slides, worksheets, etc.) to the Community Portal are granted 12 hours of VIP access for every file that is manually verified and approved by administrators. This access extends cumulatively with multiple approved uploads.
7. Payments, Subscriptions & Premium Content
Pricing & Products
The Platform offers optional premium digital products and memberships:
- Premium Printable Packages: Available as one-time purchases (e.g., $5.00 USD for the card deck, $2.00 USD for sticker packs) providing lifetime access to download those specific files.
- VIP Membership - Annual ($50.00 USD / year): Provides complete access to all current and future premium products, printable packages, slide decks, and lesson plans on the Platform for a period of one (1) year (365 days). This plan is non-auto-renewing and grants 10 boost keys upon activation.
- VIP Membership - Monthly ($10.00 USD / month): Provides complete access to all current and future premium products, printable packages, slide decks, and lesson plans on the Platform for a period of 30 days. This plan is non-auto-renewing and grants 5 boost keys upon activation.
Download Access & Requirements
We are not a completely free download platform. Access to files and downloads is governed by the following rules:
- Registration Requirement: Users must create a free profile and be logged in to download any files, including user-shared Community Resources, worksheets, and Challenge submissions. This is required to calculate download statistics for creators, protect copyright ownership, and prevent automated scraping.
- Paid Content: Premium packages and watermark-free PDFs require an active VIP Membership or a one-time purchase, unless unlocked through our Community Reward program (Free Premium Bypass).
VIP Subscription Billing
All VIP Membership subscriptions (both Monthly at $10.00/mo and Annual at $50.00/yr) are non-auto renewing. Payments are processed as one-time charges. Once the active period expires (30 days for Monthly, 365 days for Annual), access to VIP perks automatically terminates unless the customer manually purchases a new billing period.
Account Usage & Limits
- Single Active Session: To prevent unauthorized sharing, customer accounts are limited to one (1) active session at any given time. Logging in on a new device will automatically log out any other active sessions.
- Account Sharing: Sharing your account credentials or login details with other individuals is strictly prohibited. Abuse may lead to account suspension without refund.
Payment Processing
All purchases (Premium Package, VIP Membership, Challenge registration fees) are processed through PayPal's secure checkout, including PayPal's guest checkout option for users who wish to pay by card without a PayPal account. Card details are entered directly into PayPal's interface and are never transmitted to or stored by bio-logicalgames.com. We receive only a payment confirmation and transaction ID from PayPal.
Refunds. You may request a full refund within 14 days of your purchase date by emailing admin@bio-logicalgames.com with your PayPal transaction ID, as detailed in Section 8 (Refund Policy).
Donations
We accept voluntary donations via PayPal and Ko-fi. Donations are non-refundable. Verified Ko-fi donations of $5 or more credit the donor's associated profile with Boost Keys (3 keys per $5 donated, subject to a monthly limit of 15 keys) as a token of appreciation.
8. Refund Policy

- How to request: Email admin@bio-logicalgames.com with your PayPal transaction ID
